Let Freedom Read Day: October 10, 2026
October 4-10, 2026 is Banned Books Week and on Saturday, October 10 is Let Freedom Read Day, a day where we’re all encouraged to take at least one action to protect books from censorship.
Suggestions include: registering to vote and voting for policies that protect the freedom to read, buying a banned book, calling or writing to library board members, trustees, and elected officials and asking them to protect the right to read.
