Additional sites for allergy research
Clinical trials for allergy treatment have been centered in just a few select locations, but now a grant from FARE should help more research at more locations.
Jim Baker, CEO of the Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) is quoted in a feature in the Boston Business Journal as saying,
“We don’t have enough clinical (sites) to do a large scale phase III trial and get drugs approved. That’s one of the reasons there aren’t any drugs approved for food allergies. We want to set up a network of research so we have enough sites to do clinical trials.â€
Great news!
